What it is
The plan was written in June 2026 on one page, and its premise fits in a sentence: expert-level packages in every kind of trip, in minutes, so the advisor's value is relationships, curation and booking rather than memorizing every resort.
You pick a genre. You answer a wizard. The universal questions come first: who's travelling, when and how flexible, trip length, all-in budget, departure city, relaxed or packed. Then come questions for the genre: certification level and reef versus wreck for scuba, cooking classes versus dining for culinary, lodge versus mobile camp for safari. Claude drafts the package, and the advisor edits it, adds confirmed lodging and prices, and prints a branded PDF.
The advisor stays in the loop by design. The draft brings breadth, and the advisor brings verification, supplier relationships and the booking.
How it works
Each genre is configuration: a list of questions plus a specialist persona for the model. Adding a genre means adding an entry. The wizard and the generator both read from the same place.
The same engine runs in three modes, each with its own brief:
- Full draft, for the advisor: day by day, lodging tiers, signature experiences, insider tips and a short "here's your trip" pitch.
- Teaser, for a public "build your dream trip in 60 seconds" page. It gives a vivid sketch and saves the day-by-day, the named lodges and the pricing for the consultation. It has per-visitor and daily limits on generations.
- Showcase, in between. This mode produced the six trip pages on beyondyeg.com: highlights, the phases of the journey, lodging tiers and a wide price band.
The multi-tenant version is Trip Studio in the Travel Tech Guy back office. Each advisor's drafts are written in her own agency's name, tagline and voice, saved to her own shelf, and optionally linked to one of her clients. Plan tiers set a monthly number of generations, counted in a ledger with one row per generation.
Built with
- Python and Flask for the internal app, with a local database of saved packages.
- Claude, using Anthropic's most capable model, because the draft is the product.
- Markdown output, rendered to a print-ready page for the branded PDF.
- A genre configuration module shared by the wizard and the generator.
- A separate public app for the teaser, on its own database and with no route into the internal tool.
- Trip Studio, the port into the back office on PostgreSQL. It inherits that platform's tenant isolation, so each advisor sees only her own packages.
Where it stands
The internal tool is in use with its three launch genres, and its showcase trips are live on beyondyeg.com. Trip Studio makes it available to advisors on an AI-enabled plan. The roadmap continues with tuning the prompts to each advisor's voice and preferred suppliers, and later with live flight and hotel pricing.
