What it is

In Jason's own account of the lab's origins, Stocko came right after Kardo: "Then I made a web based product, 'Stocko', to deliver real-ish-time stock performance alerts." It was built for active retail investors who want more than a broker's single-price alert.

It let a user:

How it works

A PHP web portal handled accounts, portfolios and rule-building. A separate Python daemon, the watchdog, polled market data, calculated RSI, moving averages, MACD and Bollinger bands, checked every rule, and dispatched alerts. The two sides never called each other; they shared a PostgreSQL database, with the schema changed only through numbered migration files. The watchdog was aware of market hours: it showed a market-closed banner, stopped logging while the market was shut, and was later extended with tiered rules and wider market-hours coverage.

The original repository covers 22 to 24 February 2026. The deployed copy kept growing from there, through more than 900 commits by June 2026, and became Arbie Stocks: a nightly pipeline in which the Arbie model scanned the market overnight and published a morning slate of signals, with a virtual paper-trading account as its public ledger and a mobile-friendly dashboard. The model behind it is the one described on the Emergence page.

Where it stands

Concluded as a standalone app. Public sign-ups for Arbie Stocks moved to a waitlist on 2026-06-02. For alerts, the lab started fresh with Crosswire, which keeps Stocko's watchdog logic, rule evaluator and schema as a read-only reference and, by design, makes no predictions.
